Staffing Software Use through SaaS Increasing

Tuesday, January 19th, 2010

More companies are now using human resources and staffing software in the form of Software as a Service.

The most recent InformationWeek Analytics survey found that 47 percent of companies are using SaaS, and of those, three-fourths consider the service to be extremely or critically important to their organizations. SaaS requires the software to be maintained by the provider, which frees up resources for companies to focus on other projects.

Companies no longer solely use SaaS for sales force automation and customer relationship management, but also for purposes related to human resources, Web presence, e-mail, service desk, collaboration, financial and backup.

Staffing Software Helps Call Center Managers

Tuesday, December 8th, 2009

As the current economic recession has caused many companies to cut call center jobs, managers at those call centers could greatly benefit from staffing software (Click here).

Managers often face the challenge of how to accurately schedule the correct number of agents based on call volume. That means company money is wasted if the manager schedules too many agents and there are not enough calls coming in. At the same time, customer satisfaction can decline if there are not enough agents and hold times increase.

While it is difficult to predict what call volume will be, managers also must find the right agents to fill positions in each shift. Most call centers today handle phone calls, e-mails and Web chats, and some agents are better at handling one technology than the others, so it is important for managers to assemble a team that represents a good balance of skills.

Staffing Software Tips

Wednesday, July 1st, 2009

If your company is being inundated with resumes from job seekers, like many throughout the country currently are, you may want to consider implementing some type of Web-based staffing software solution.

Web-based staffing software uses artificial intelligence and resume tracking software to collect, sort through and rank large amounts of resumes and candidate information. That information is then turned over to hiring managers and recruiters so they can more easily and efficiently select the right person for the job.

However, when implementing  staffing software, there are many things to consider, according to an article by eHow:

  • Staffing software can reduce the amount of pressure placed on hiring managers. Software eliminates much of the administrative work required by old fashioned methods and allows recruiters to better describe the critical skills needed for job success, which in turn increases the chances of finding the best candidate.

If your business is continuing to grow and add employees you may want to look into using staffing software.

Staffing software is one of the most efficient and technologically advanced ways to manage employees. According to an article by wiseGEEK, staffing software is a series of applications that automate cleriecal and bookkeeping tasks that would normally be completed by people.

“Letting a computer perform these tasks not only gets them done more quickly – given a computer’s natural ability to multitask to the nth degree – but also frees up the people who formerly did those things for other tasks,” the article notes. “This is an important way for companies to get ahead, by letting technology help them create more time for new challenges.”
